STAMPlorations~ Wanderlust Travel!

Hello Crafty Friends, there's a WANDERLUST Icons and Dies Inspiration post here...be sure to check out what the DT Gals made using the new Wanderlust Series!! Simply Amazing!!! Be sure to leave them some luv too! :o)

Today I'm showcasing two makes using the Airplane and Travel Suitcase,  and passport stamps..these are all the larger versions  from the  Stamp lab WANDERLUST Collection! Woot Woot!

First up, is a card I made using the "ROAD TRIP" Phrase die along with the Large Travel Suitcase Stamp.

I started with Solar White CS and stamped the Suitcase image all around the base in Onyx Black Versafine Ink. I then stamped onto red CS and embossed it in Clear Embossing Powder. I then fussy cut the image out and adhered it to the card on top of one of the previously stamped images. I die cut the "Road Trip" phrase once in black and once in red CS and offset them onto each other onto the card. Once done, I added some black paint splatters and layered the base to red CS and a Black Card base.

Next up I did a Travel Journal using the "Make Memories" Phrase die along with the large Airplane and Travel Suitcase,  and passport stamps.

I started with a Journal Base, created from the Sizzix Journal Die, that was layered with TH Postale Tissue Wrap and colorwashed with Red JD Aqua Pastel. I then added a little map I created by cutting Atlas Paper and folding and adhering to the cover. I then added the Airplane I fussy cut out from Watercolor paper and watercolored with Distress Inks.

I also stamped and embossed the passport image onto red CS and fussy cut out and adhered to the cover. The "Make Memories" Phrase didn't all fit, so I connected the M's in the phrase. :)

I stamped the  Airplane and Travel Suitcase,  and passport stamps onto Shrinky Dink paper with StazOn Inks, fussy cut out and baked. I then attached them to TH Swivel Clasps and attached to the spine. Aren't they adorable? I just love how they turned out.

I created Envelopes for the inside of my journal using Atlas paper and created the inserts using CS, Watercolor and Kraft papers.

I sure hope I've inspired you to get crafty today! Oh and don't forget if you use code "STAMPGIRLAMY" you can get 20% off your purchase! :o)

Oh and don't forget there is still time to join in this  month's "FOCUS ON THE SENTIMENTS" Challenge.

I added DooHickey Die - Love Typewriter # 19 and  # 20 Rox Stamp Die - Key Holes die cuts and inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I also added Stampendous Frantage to the key hole die cuts.

I added a Magnolia Flower from my stash and some Cheesecloth  on top of of two of the Big Leaves Chipboard pieces that I embossed with the same Stampendous Frantage. A sentiment tag from LDRS- Tag Alongs Set (Sorry it's discontinued) and some glossy accents on the typewriter hearts finished off my card. :o)

This month I used Santoro's Gorjuss "FLY AWAY WITH ME" Stamp set and created a Journal Page:

I created the background using Dylusions Paints in Calypso Teal and Fresh Lime. I then added the same colors through a Heidi Swapp Triangle Stencil. I also used Joggles "Wonky Circles" Foam Stamp in the same colors to create more texture in my background. Stampers Anonymous Classics 6 created a border in green Archival Ink. I added a sentiment from Handwritten Thoughts as I thought it went with my fly girl perfectly! :o)

I stamped the Gorjuss Girl onto Neenah Solar White CS and colored her with SN Markers and Prisma Color Pencils. I then paper-pieced her dress and balloon using papers from Basic Grey's B SIDE collection. Distress Crayons in Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron added some shading to my girl. :o)

STAMPlorations~ Say It Big!

Hello Crafty Friends, it's time for some inspiration for this month's "FOCUS ON THE SENTIMENTS" Challenge.

Rather than our normal monthly challenges, there is just one MONTHLY CHALLENGE with a theme for you to play along with.  All projects are welcome, just ensure you follow the theme. Easy Peasy right?

You can check the challenge rules and prize info here

Wait, that's not all....Shery is offering a generous 10% (no coupon code needed) off all stamps, stencils, and dies in the store from Feb through April. Woohoooo!!!

Today, I have two makes using two of the newly released SAY IT BIG Series sentiments: A Gem and Your Limit along with the sassy image from the "CityGirl" Stamp Set.

First up is my card using Your Limit with the "CityGirl" Stamp Set.

I started with watercolor paper and added Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick  and Iced Spruce. Once dry, I stamped the Your Limit sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx Ink

I then stamped the image from the CityGirl set onto book paper and fussy cut her out. I added a bit of pink to her lips for some color, with Jane Davenport Paint Over Pen.

I added the piece to pink and grey cardstock layers, and voila, my card is finished. :)

My second make is a tag using A Gem sentiment with the Tags #1 Die. I love, love these sentiments, so versatile and they are great for Tags, Cards, Art Journaling...where ever your creativity takes you!

I started with the largest tag from the  Tags #1 set and spritzed  it with water. I then added color  by dropping JD Mermaid Markers in Lobster, Starfish and Pirate's Gold onto the wet tag. I love the effect it gives as the color naturally spreads out with the water. ;o)

Once dry, I stamped the A Gem sentiment using my MISTI with Versafine Black Onyx Ink. For added detail, I added some yellow Dylusions Paint Pen on the sentiment.  I inked around the edges and added paint splatters with Black Soot Distress Paint to tie in the black sentiment. Some gems from my stash finished it off.

I sure hope you will join us this month for the FOCUS ON THE SENTIMENT Challenge.  Be sure to check out the other designers beautiful makes here for more inspiration using more of the newly released SAY IT BIG sentiments. Be sure to leave them some luv too! :o)
